The "Origami" design is a metaphor for the unfolding of potential and knowledge. Its parametric geometry is specifically engineered to provide self-shading for the interior training labs, while the cantilevered gardens offer biophilic "breakout" spaces for researchers and students.

Creating a physical space that embodies the Dubai Municipality's digital transformation. The structure had to provide a high-performance environment for talent development while managing the intense thermal loads of the Dubai climate through advanced facade engineering.

The Design Process

Analysis: Environmental and solar-impact studies conducted to optimize the parametric skin for Dubai's specific orientation. Strategy: Developing a BIM-to-Fabrication workflow to ensure the complex metal "folds" are structurally sound and cost-efficient. Design: Integrating high-tech digital interiors with the organic fluidity of the exterior terraces. Delivery: Comprehensive documentation for the DMX portal to ensure 100% digital compliance with municipal standards.
