Residential Ultra-Luxury Private Villa
The concept for Villa Seren is "Interlocking Serenity." The design is a study of geometric volumes shifting white planes and grey monolithic blocks that slide over one another. This creates a series of cantilevered overhangs that provide natural shading for the glass facades below. The "floating" upper floor is designed to maximize views of the surrounding greenery, effectively bringing the manicured landscape of Dubai Hills into the living spaces.

The client sought a residence that could command attention within the prestigious Dubai Hills landscape while remaining an intimate sanctuary. The primary challenge was balancing the expansive, open-plan desire of modern luxury with the need for thermal efficiency and privacy in a desert climate. We needed to create a structure that felt lightweight and transparent without sacrificing the "fortress-like" security and seclusion expected of a high-end estate.

The Design Process

Our design journey focused on the harmony between solid mass and void:Volumetric Layering: We utilized a stacked-box architecture to create deep recesses. These aren't just aesthetic; they are functional thermal barriers that protect the interior from the intense Dubai sun while allowing floor-to-ceiling glass to remain a central feature.Indoor-Outdoor Continuity: The ground plane was designed around a "disappearing" glass threshold. The living area flows directly into the infinity pool deck, using a consistent material palette to blur the lines between the interior sanctuary and the exterior garden.Material Sophistication: We opted for a refined, minimalist palette: pristine white stucco, textured charcoal stone, and high-performance structural glass. The use of a white pergola on the terrace adds a rhythmic shadow play throughout the day, constantly evolving the building's visual texture.Landscape Integration: Recognizing the lush environment of the estate, the villa was positioned to frame existing foliage, ensuring that every room has a "green" focal point, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.‍
